OMEXOM GA Energo opens the first year of the Summer School for students of universities focused on energy and electrical engineering. The programme will include lectures by experts from abroad, a visit to the training centre in Korbussen, Germany, and a tour of the substation.
“We aim to introduce students to the company and opportunities they have with us after their studies and also to increase their interest in energy and everything related to it. We want to show the scope of this field in practice; we support modern education and the development of smart technologies,” explains Zdeněk Židek, CEO of OMEXOM GA Energo.
The OMEXOM Summer School is open to students in the second and higher year of university in the field of power engineering or electrical engineering; the prerequisite is knowledge of English. The summer school will take place from 28 August to 1 September 2023. The opening will take place in Pilsen, but the school is intended for students from universities all over the Czech Republic. As a part of the Summer School, participants will be provided with free accommodation, meals and transport to construction sites and the training centre in Korbußen.
“The students will get to know the experts and will have the opportunity to learn about the work processes and programs used in the company. The summer school will also include a visit to the training centre in Korbußen, Germany,” adds Zdeněk Židek. The programme also includes a visit to the substation in Přeštice, an excursion to the HV line construction site and a tour of the Smart City Polygon. This is a unique project where innovative technologies focused on public safety, transport or intelligent building management are presented in practice.
