InfoTel in Brno is now owned by the multinational company VINCI Energies. The acquisition of a primary provider of professional services in the construction and operation field of telecommunications networks strengthens its presence in the Czech Republic and expands its activities into a new area.
The companies InfoTel and Locero, s.r.o., part of the acquisition, employ 220 people and will have a turnover of over EUR 40 million in 2023. The companies, which are headquartered in Brno, have fifteen offices in the Czech Republic and one in Regensburg, Germany. They deliver turnkey projects at scale for optical, metallic and wireless networks using the full range of technology standards used for telecommunications services.
“We are delighted to welcome a leading player in telecommunications infrastructure services with the acquisition of InfoTel Group and further develop our portfolio of activities in the Czech Republic,” says Eric Devigne, CEO of VINCI Energies Central & Eastern Europe. It is this regional pole of VINCI Energies that InfoTel will now be part of.
“I chose the VINCI Energies group from among several offers because it provides InfoTel with a strong and stable partner that will enable the further development of InfoTel—a company I have been building for the last 30 years,” says Pavel Košt’ál, the founder of InfoTel and Locero. He remains the CEO of both companies after the acquisition by VINCI Energies.
InfoTel has more than thirty years of experience in the design, construction and management of telecommunication networks. Within VINCI Energies, it will expand its activities in the ICT sector, where two companies focusing on complex IT services for businesses have already operated on the Czech market under the AXIANS brand. “With the InfoTel acquisition, we are adding a significant player in the field of network construction to our service portfolio. As part of VINCI Energies, we can offer even more comprehensive services in Central Europe,” says Ladislav Urban, Regional Director of VINCI Energies in the Czech and Slovak Republics.
